Chloe Fineman and Sarah Sherman, stars of Saturday Night Live, play the two stars of Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party in a spoof that the two celebrities filmed as part of their New Year’s Eve special last week.

Miley Cyrus, 30, begins the act by saying, “Anything can happen when you emcee a live concert.” “I might lose my voice, sprain my ankle, or contract the strange flu that has been going around recently. And because of this, the producers sought a replacement for me right away. My own personal assistant!” As the picture panned out to reveal Fineman seated next to her, Cyrus said.

Hey everyone, this is Miley. I’m really thrilled about the countdown, the New Year, and the party that will take place in the USA. Fineman, 34, comments while flawlessly mimicking Cyrus.

“And I also have a backup!” Parton, 76, adds his voice.

Greetings, Jolene! 29, Sherman, claims. “Yeehaw!”

In order to be prepared in case they are required during the live show, Cyrus and Parton continue the spoof by training the SNL girls how to speak and behave like them. Cyrus tries to convince Fineman to speak more softly and to quit concluding each sentence with “y’all.”

Parton also admits that working with Sherman has been challenging. And let’s just say that working with Sarah has been a bit of a challenge for me.

Exasperated, Sherman exclaims to Parton, “I don’t see why they chose me to be your understudy.” You look like Dolly Parton, and I resemble Edward Scissorhands if he attended art school, I mean.

To ensure that the musicians’ understudies look the part, they collaborate with them. Up until Sherman leaves, everything seems to be going smoothly, but then, in Parton’s words, “there’s something missing.”

A little while later, Sherman returns with a packed bra. “Much better!” exclaims Parton.

At the end of the skit, Cyrus and Parton invite their backup singers to perform. Fineman instantly replies, “Pass.” However, when Sherman sings a few lines of “Jolene,” Parton’s entrancing voice is audible.

On Miley’s New Year’s Eve party, Parton and Cyrus produced a legendary musical mashup just before the clock struck midnight.

The host of the live special by the same name and her godmother wowed spectators with several standout performances, including a medley of two of their biggest hits.

The duo sang Miley Cyrus’ breakup song “Wrecking Ball” from her 2013 album Bangerz just before the Miami party rang in 2023.

But as she sang the bridge, Dolly Parton replaced the words “I will always want you” with “I will always love you,” and then she launched into a performance of her song of the same name.

By combining their voices for the moving performance and holding hands on stage, Parton and Cyrus stunned the audience.
