Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe’s 23-year-old daughter spent New Year’s Eve in the hospital after experiencing what she called “a pop” in her ankle.

Ava posted a photo of herself from the emergency department on Instagram with the description, “My clumsy self tried to leap over a (very enormous) rain puddle in heels.”
I feel really fortunate to have a rockstar friend and ER companion like @jadensanders_ in my life right now, she continued.

She genuinely kept me laughing during the entire time we waited and just once left my side to go fetch us some warm, dry clothes. I’m in love with you, J.

Ava continued by informing her fans that she “will definitely” be adding the resolve to her list of New Year’s resolutions: “be nicer with my body.”

While everything was going on, Witherspoon, 46, posted a gorgeous beach photo on her own Instagram that featured her husband Jim Toth and their son Tennessee, who is 10 years old.

“Welcoming 2023!” she wrote as the caption. “Allow the sun to enter!”

The “Legally Blonde” actress and Ryan also share a 19-year-old son, Deacon. Kai, her ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp’s 11-year-old daughter, is raised by her former “Cruel Intentions” co-star.

Witherspoon recently celebrated Christmas with her three identical kids.

During the holiday season, the “Big Little Lies” star shared two family images on Instagram with the statement, “Wishing all of YOU a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our family to yours.”
