The Pujaran actress lamented how women in Pakistani society are pressured into covering up domestic violence, saying, “All these women who are deceived, abused, and tormented by males, actually embrace that story, they want to cover up the truth. Because “izzat ki baat hai,” a wife is not permitted to discuss her husband’s extramarital activities in public. So, while it is entirely acceptable for men to cheat, it is insulting for women to discuss it?
