Simon Cowell doesn’t think he’s good enough to host a talk show

The judge on America’s Got Talent said in a recent interview. He told that he has no plans to host his own talk show. He also  turned down an offer to do so.

When asked if he would host a daytime talk show like Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson, who he discovered on American Idol, Cowell, 63, said, “When they built the set, I started to get nervous and then really stressed out, so I just left the meeting.”

He kept going, “I just said I couldn’t do this in every way. I just couldn’t spend all day talking to people. I’m not very good at talking.”

Cowell is still good at finding talent, even if he doesn’t have the right person for the job. He is back as a judge with Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum.

Cowell said, “It was great, and it was very interesting to see people who have done well on the American show compete with people who have won the show in other countries.”

“The dynamic was fascinating, and what was really great and cool about the show was that so many people decided to come back and compete,” he said.

In AGT: All-Stars, which is hosted by AGT emcee Terry Crews.  A lot of different types of acts compete for the title of best act. But this show is different because it features 60 of the Got Talent franchise’s past winners. Finalists, fan-favorite acts, and viral sensations as they compete to be the best of the All-Stars.

“We saw a lot of great people again and met a lot of great people. I got ma there were also a lot of surprises on the show,”.

“It was really, really fun.”

From 2002 to 2010, Cowell was a judge on American Idol. During his time on the singing competition show, he helped make stars out of well-known people like Clarkson, 40, and Hudson, 41.

In September 2019, Cowell went on The Kelly Clarkson Show with Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.  They talked about their time on the competition show and if they’d ever work together again as judges.

Cowell said, “It does make me think.” “If I could have one wish, it would be for us to make another show together. That’s what I’d most like to happen.”

Simon Cowell also went on Hudson’s self-titled talk show in September to talk about her time on Idol, which ended unexpectedly early after she sang Barry Manilow’s “Weekend in New England” from 1976.

Cowell told Hudson that she might have been kicked off the show because she picked a bad song “I’ll never forget that night… I remember thinking, “This song isn’t very good.” You did nothing wrong. Then what happened happened, of course.”

In another part of the interview, Cowell said that the early seasons of Idol were so successful because of Hudson’s personality.

“It was a mix of talent, hard work, and real personality, and even though you and I joked around, it was always that… I’ve always known how determined you were, how funny you were, and how well you handled things “he said. “You kind of got it, that’s what I’ve always thought. You got it.”
