Alan Ruck is set to star in horror comedy film ‘Crust’

In the horror comedy movie, which is directed by Sean Whalen in his feature film debut, the 66-year-old actor is slated to star opposite Whalen.

Previously, the pair worked together on the popular 1996 disaster movie “Twister,” which also starred Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton.

Vegas Winters, the lonely owner of a laundry (Whalen), uses the leftover socks from his customers to clean himself in the story “Crust.”

After being mistreated, he sobs into a pile of socks, which transforms into a beast that hunts down Vegas’ adversaries.

Randy Roberts, a brazen former child star leading a revival of the programmes that made him famous, will be played by Ruck in the movie.

The movie also stars Daniel Roebuck, Rebekah Kennedy, Shawntay Dalon, Felissa Rose, Ricky Dean Logan, and Daniel John Kearney.

Producers Whalen, Rose, Logan, and Kearney are all working on the film, which will start shooting in Los Angeles in April.

Alan said that he was first thought to be too old for the position before movie executives noticed his cherubic features in the 1986 teen comedy “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” which starred Matthew Broderick in the lead role.

The actor from “Succession” stated: “At first, casting directors didn’t want to see me because I was too old, 28, at 28 years old.

“But then they saw Matthew and me on stage and realised our friendship was natural. Also, I looked like a baby.”
