Brittany Mahomes 27-year-old wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared a sweet snapshot of herself when she was younger playing soccer on her Instagram on Wednesday in honour of the holiday.

“When I was a young girl participating in athletics, if I could pass along one piece of advice to you, it would be to “Be proud of who you are and where you came from.” Never allow anyone tell you that you can not be yourself, and always be yourself!” Brittany wrote the post’s caption. For National Girls and Women in Sports Day, she added a hashtag.

In the second image, Brittany is seen sipping a bottle of the sports drink Bio Steel while seated on a bench press. Additionally, she added #TeamBioSteel to her caption.

At the University of Texas at Tyler and in Iceland, Brittany played both collegiate and professional soccer. She co-founded the Kansas City Current, a National Women’s Soccer League team, with Chris and Angie Long, and she shares ownership of the team with her husband.

In March 2022, she wed the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs. They share 23-month-old daughter Sterling Skye, and 2-month-old son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
