Everything Everywhere All at Once continues its storming award season run with yet another victory, suggesting that no matter what universe the movie is set in, the outcomes will remain the same. It’s yet another outstanding accomplishment for the very ambitious film starring Michelle Yeoh, directed by Daniel Kwan, and written by Daniel Scheinert.

The multiverse-spanning sci-fi dramedy from A24 added to its seemingly endless surge of momentum by winning the evening’s top prize, the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, at last night’s 34th annual Producers Guild Awards.

With a victory at the PGA Awards prior to winning the Best Picture Oscar, last year’s winner CODA enjoyed a significant boost. It was the fourth time in the previous five years that the PGA Award winner went on to win the Oscar equivalent. Both winners have coincided in 22 of the last 33 years and 88% of the time in the last 13 years.
