Shawn Mendes made a suggestion that he would return to the music industry after his mental health had improved.

After declaring, “I am at the point where I am like, “OK, I am ready to start writing some songs,” which is amazing,” the 24-year-old Seorita singer left his admirers giddy.

The process was really difficult, Shawn stated in his most recent interview with the Wall Street Journal as he reflected on his journey towards putting his health first. I spent a lot of time in therapy trying to understand how I was feeling and what was causing it. Afterward, I will work to mend and assist myself. I am also asking some of the folks in my life for a little assistance.

The Mercy singer discussed how to preserve personal boundaries after being forced to cancel his live performances just one week before the Wonder Tour last summer because he was “not at all ready for how terrible” the gigs would be following the pandemic.

My life has really improved once I realized that having limits does not make you a cruel person, said Shawn. “The most eye-opening, growing, beautiful, and just healing experience of my life,” he stated of the healing process.
