Brian Cox, in a brand-new interview published on Thursday, the Succession star discussed his opinions on the British monarchy as well as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s departure from the royal family.

Cox, 76, told Haute Living, “I find that it’s really just so terrible that we don’t respect our own humanity enough.”We don’t recognize the struggles we’ve had while acting on behalf of a ruling family. That’s why you think, “Oh, Harry, there’s an innocence about,” when you observe what Meghan and Harry are doing. And also with her. But you can’t just expect someone who has been socialized to behave in a certain manner to cut themselves off from the system. She was aware of what she was getting into, and it’s apparent that she had ambitions as well, such as the childhood fantasies of finding true love and having a happy marriage. You know, I’m a Cinderella kind of person”.

Cox added that he disagrees with monarchies.

He said, “In my opinion, we shouldn’t have a monarchy. “It’s not practical and it makes no sense. They claim it’s tradition and all that. I say screw it! Move along!”

Cox has already expressed his opinions about Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41.

On Good Morning Britain in December, the Nuremberg star stated, “I don’t know what went on, but something certainly awful went on for the pair of them,” in reference to the premiere of their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan. And he said, “I don’t believe they made it up, and I do not believe it to be fake. I believe it to be accurate, but it hasn’t been corrected.”

In the past, he has also expressed his opinion on the couple’s retirement from the royal family in 2020.

He started to ES Magazine in February 2020, “The media forced Meghan and Harry to leave the country. The short version is that they drove them out, and yes, there is clearly some racism at play. They have suffered a dreadful fate.”

He said about the royal family, “The Queen is a magnificent woman who has accomplished wonderful things, in my opinion. But I honestly think that when she is gone, the entire awful shooting match should come to an end. We won’t be able to free our society and culture from the feudal grasp until then.”
