Priyanka Chopra questioned to SRK why he doesn’t want to be in Hollywood?

Shah Rukh Khan’s recent remark about not relocating to Hollywood drew the opinion of actor Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka answered to the same and stated that she doesn’t require confirmation because her ego isn’t bigger than her job. Priyanka is seen dabbling in both East and West productions. Together, Priyanka and Shah Rukh have appeared in movies including Don and Don 2.

After making her acting debut in 2002, Priyanka Chopra traveled to Hollywood approximately eight years ago. She rose to fame in the West after appearing in the television series Quantico. She made her film debut with Dwayne Johnson in Baywatch in 2017 and quickly gained notoriety. She will soon be featured in Citadel, a spy-thriller web series by Russo Brothers.

Priyanka was questioned about Shah Rukh Khan’s recent statement about why he doesn’t want to be in a Hollywood film as the series was being promoted. The question was posed to Priyanka by a reporter at the SXSW festival: “Shah Rukh Khan responds, ‘Why should I go there (Hollywood), I am comfortable here.'” In answer, Indian Express cited the Citadel actor as, “Comfortable is dull to me. I am confident, not conceited. When I enter a set, I am confident in what I am doing. I don’t require executive approval. I’m ready to work and I’m ready to take auditions. I don’t bring with me the burden of my accomplishment in one nation when I enter another.”

The next thing Priyanka said was that her ego wasn’t bigger than her job. “If you ask the people around me, I am recognized for being highly professional. I’m proud of it. My father, who served in the military, instilled in me the importance of discipline. He taught me to appreciate the worth of what I have been given, she continued. She believes that through working hard, she has established a legacy for herself. She insisted that she didn’t do anything else with her time but “botched the bullets and just focused” on her work.

South Asian Excellence recently had a pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles, which was hosted by Priyanka. She also has the movie Love Again in the works this year in addition to Citadel. She will also appear in Jee Le Zaraa, directed by Farhan Akhtar, alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
