Satish Kaushik, an actor and filmmaker, passed away early on Thursday morning after suffering a heart attack, according to actor Anupam Kher. Anupam claimed that Satish was in Delhi prior to his untimely demise, citing a recent report.
Anupam expressed his shock at Satish Kaushik’s passing in a tweet earlier on Thursday. He shared a picture of the pair in black and white on Twitter. Anupam wrote in the caption, “I am aware that the ultimate truth is death, but I never imagined having to write it about my best buddy Satish Kaushik. An abrupt end to a 45-year friendship. If you were not here, Satish, life would not be the same. Shanti Om.”

Anupam informed the news agency PTI that Satish complained of being uneasy while he was at a friend’s house in Delhi. Anupam told PTI that the man felt uneasy and asked the driver to take him to the hospital, but while on the way, he had a heart attack.

According to the news agency ANI, Satish’s postmortem will take place on Thursday at Delhi’s Deen Dayal Hospital. His body was brought to the hospital at 5.30 am, according to the report, and has been kept there since. Around 11 a.m., his postmortem will be completed, and his body will then be transported to Mumbai.

A photo of Ashoke Pandit and Satish was also posted on Twitter. He noted: “Can this really be true? I’m shocked and saddened to learn that my close friend @satishkaushik2 has passed away after having a heart attack in Delhi. The Final Show was my final movie with him. A huge loss for the theater, television, and film industries. Sincere condolences go out to the family. Shanti Om.”

On March 7 in Bombay, lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar hosted the traditional Holi celebrations, and Satish’s last tweet on his Twitter account was a collection of images from those events. “Colored Joyful Fun Holi celebration at Janki Kutir Juhu by @Javedakhtarjadu @babaazmi @AzmiShabana @tanviazmi.. met the newlywed gorgeous couple @alifazal9 @RichaChadha… wishing Happy Holi to everyone,” he said.

Satish was most known for his parts in movies like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Mr. India, Deewana Mastana, and Udta Punjab. He graduated from both the National School of Theatre and the Film and Television Institute of India. Satish, who had a gift for comedy, was a director as well. Tere Naam and Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai are two of his most well-liked movies. His wife and daughter have continued to live.
