When Ben Affleck praised Michael B. Jordan, ‘He is a hero to me’

Ben Affleck discussed Michael B. Jordan, who played the title character in Creed III, and how he reached out to him to share the story he is conveying in the film Air.

The Batman actor could not stop praising Jordan during a Thursday interview with The Hollywood Reporter as he explained how they met.

“Michael and I occasionally play cards together, and we have friends in common. All of it does not sound good, OK? And he would not just say, “Oh yes, Ben’s my kid,” would he? (Using Jordan’s voice as a model.) He’d be like, “Yeah, I know him.” he said.

“For me, Jordan is a hero. And I am aware of the significance and importance of him, particularly within the African American community. If you are going to use profanity when discussing Michael Jordan, be polite about it. Do not write a hagiography, but do use the proper profanity.” Added Affleck, 50.

The Deep Water performer continued “I’ve never known anybody with that kind of charisma and power who walks into a room and it just reverberates. And is the problem with him or with how people treat him? Is it your memories of him? I don’t know, but it’s powerful.”

“I pleaded with you to let me out. Also, he was superb. “Yes, no issue. Visit the course for golf. went outside and meet him. I waited for him to finish playing. I don’t golf myself. Because I just feel like it eats people’s lives up” he said.
