Kate & William remove George, Louis, & Charlotte from dinner table
Prince William and Kate Middleton are known to uphold strict protocols and standards within Buckingham Palace, to the extent that their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are not permitted to be present near the dinner table during state dinners, according to insights shared by former royal chef Darren McGrady.
McGrady provided detailed explanations of this rule during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
He elucidated, “The children used to dine in the nursery until they were mature enough to exhibit proper behavior at the dining table.”
This rule applies not only during state dinners but also extends to occasions that emphasize family participation, including Christmas festivities.
Having served the monarchy for almost 15 years, Mr. McGrady departed around the time of Queen Elizabeth’s reign.
In a previous interview, he also revealed details about Queen Elizabeth’s culinary preferences.
In that discussion, he disclosed one of her cherished snacks, stating, “The Queen was served ‘jam pennies’ (round sandwiches) when she was a young girl in the nursery. She has continued to enjoy them as part of her afternoon tea ever since.”
