Bollywood actress Jasmin Bhasin recently shared her distressing experience of suffering severe corneal damage due to a contact lens mishap. In an interview with ETimes, Jasmin opened up about the challenges she is facing while dealing with her bandaged eye.

Jasmin explained that while preparing for an event in New Delhi on July 17, she encountered unexpected pain after inserting her contact lenses. She described the incident, saying, “I was in Delhi for an event on July 17, for which I was preparing. I don’t know what exactly went wrong with my lens, but after wearing it, my eyes started hurting, and the pain gradually intensified.” Despite the discomfort, Jasmin chose to attend the event, wearing sunglasses to shield her eyes. She mentioned, “I wanted to see a doctor, but due to work commitments, I decided to participate in the event first and then visit the doctor.”

Later that night, Jasmin saw an eye specialist who diagnosed her with corneal damage and applied bandages to her eyes. Reflecting on her current state, Jasmin noted, “I am in a lot of pain. Doctors have told me I should recover in the next four to five days, but until then, I need to take good care of my eyes.” She expressed hope for a swift recovery while managing to keep up with her commitments despite the pain.
