Triptii Dimri joins Madhuri Dixit as mother-daughter pair in Suresh Triveni’s new film
Madhuri Dixit, the Dhak-Dhak girl of Bollywood, has entertained audiences for several decades. The celebrated actress began her career with the film Abodh in 1984 and is best known for movies like Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Tezaab, Dil To Pagal Hai, Devdas, and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, among others. According to a new report, Madhuri is now collaborating with Animal actress Triptii Dimri on a film. The duo is likely to portray a mother-daughter relationship in Suresh Triveni’s upcoming project, following his success with Tumhari Sulu.
According to a report by Midday, Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit will collaborate on Suresh Triveni’s yet-to-be-titled film. The actresses will portray a mother-daughter duo in Triveni’s direction. The production team has not finalized the male star yet. Sources indicate that the upcoming dramedy will also include elements of action and thrills.
The report further indicated that Suresh Triveni, who directed Tumhari Sulu (2017) and Jalsa (2022), was eager to cast Triptii and Madhuri in the film. The makers of the dramedy plan to start shooting next summer.
Triptii Dimri began her career with Poster Boys in 2017, starring alongside Shreyas Talpade, Bobby Deol, and Sunny Deol. She has appeared in films like Laila Majnu and Qala, and she gained recognition for her performance in Anushka Sharma’s Netflix production, Bulbbul.
The actress played a supporting role in last year’s Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer, Animal, which provided her with a significant break in Bollywood and earned her recognition as a national crush of India. Triptii recently took on a lead role in Anand Tiwari’s Bad Newz, where she was paired with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk in Karan Johar’s production.
Triptii is now preparing for Raaj Shaandilyaa’s directorial venture, Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which will be released on October 11. The comedy film will compete at the box office with Alia Bhatt’s Jigra. She also has Dhadak 2 lined up, co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi.
Before collaborating with Triptii and Madhuri, Suresh Triveni worked with actors such as Vidya Balan, Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia, Shefali Shah, and Rohini Hattangadi.
