Anjini Dhawan responds to rumors of being cast in Salman Khan’s next actioner film

Varun Dhawan’s niece, Anjini Dhawan, made her big Bollywood debut with “Binny and Family” alongside Pankaj Kapur. While the dramedy didn’t make a significant impact at the box office, the newcomer seems to have secured an exciting second project! According to a recent report, Anjini has joined the cast of AR Murugadoss and Salman Khan’s “Sikandar” in a key role. In a recent interview, she reacted to the news by saying, “Is it? Do I?”

In a chat with India Today, the actor addressed the reports of her signing *Sikandar* when asked about it, saying, “Is it? Do I?” She then broke out laughing and mentioned that she had come prepared to dodge such questions.

As earlier reported by Mid-Day, Anjini has landed a significant role that requires a fresh face, making her an ideal choice. Dhawan is set to start filming soon.

However, the team is keeping the nature of Anjini’s character and her connection to Salman’s protagonist under wraps, as they wish to maintain the secrecy surrounding her role due to its pivotal impact on the story.

The news source previously reported that Salman’s character displays traits of arrogance. He embodies the true nature of a ‘Sikandar,’ coming from a royal background and exhibiting qualities of anger and pride.

The report also mentioned that Salman last showcased a ‘bad boy’ persona in a subplot of “Sultan”, which fans received well.

Rumors suggest that Salman has teamed up with the stunt coordinators from the “Mission Impossible” film series for the action scenes in “Sikandar”. According to reports, these directors will design elaborate action sequences for the superstar.

“Sikandar” marks Salman Khan’s first collaboration with director A.R. Murugadoss. Together, they are creating an action-packed entertainer featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, and Kajal Aggarwal. The film began shooting in June 2024 in Mumbai.

Pritam composes the music for “Sikandar”, which will include a mix of dance numbers, romantic melodies, and an emotional track.

Once filming for *Sikandar* is complete, Salman Khan plans to begin his next venture with Atlee around January or February 2025.
