Nora Fatehi confesses of looking same as other Bollywood heroines

Nora Fatehi recently shared candid insights about her journey in Bollywood during a conversation with former film journalist Rajeev Masand at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

Nora Fatehi discussed the pressure to fit into the aesthetic world of Bollywood, highlighting how many female stars now share a similar look. “My aesthetic is the same as most of the girls in our industry right now. We have started looking the same. I don’t know how that happened,” she remarked, reflecting on the evolving trends.

Nora revealed that as she has gained more influence, she now challenges stylists who attempt to dress her in ways that follow this uniform trend. “Today when I do have the power to talk, I do tell my stylists, ‘This is too much.’ The way they dress Ananya (Panday), Sara (Ali Khan), or Janhvi (Kapoor), they cannot dress me the same way. My body is not the same,” she explained.

Nora went on to emphasize that her body type isn’t typical in Bollywood, which often leads to disagreements with stylists and directors. “I get that, but the others don’t look like me, unfortunately when I wear it,” she added. Despite the initial pushback, she said that once people understand her perspective, they are more receptive to her input.

Nora, who was last seen in Madgaon Express, is set to debut in Telugu cinema with Matka, releasing on November 14. She also has Dancing Dad lined up.
