Urmila Matondkar to return to Bollywood’s big screen after a long hiatus

Leading Indian actress and politician Urmila Matondkar has announced her return to Bollywood after 13 years.

According to Indian media reports, the actress revealed in her recent interview that she will be returning to Bollywood very soon but this time she will be seen on the big screen through a web series.

Shooting for the web series was supposed to start last year but was delayed due to the global epidemic coronavirus. “The last I heard is that the project is now stuck due to some permission issues. So, I am just waiting to see what happens next,” said Urmila Matondkar.

“I was really looking forward to it,” added the Bollywood actress said.

“I can’t be doing things just for the heck of it, and which is why I was really gung-ho about the digital project. But I am sure that if not that, then something else which is great will come up,” added Urmila Matondkar.

Urmila Matondkar has acted in several Bollywood super hits including ‘Judaai’, ‘Jaanam Samjha Karo’, ‘Dillagi’, ‘Rangeela’ and ‘Bhoot’.

Urmila Matondkar last appeared in the movie ‘Karzzzz’ with Hamesh Reshammiya 13 years ago in 2008. In 2018 she did an item number for the movie ‘Blackmail’.
