Pooja Bedi confirmed the rumors of a biopic of her late mother Protima Bedi

Pooja Bedi isn’t one to mince words or avoid answering a question. She sat down in a recent interview and talked about her mom. As Pooja’s mother, the late Protima Bedi, the first wife of actor Kabir Bedi, may have a biography in the works. That is the rumors going around in the B.Town. “Yes… Balaji (Motion Pictures) has taken the option rights for timepass for my mother’s biography,” Pooja confirmed the news.

In the same interview, Pooja was asked who she feels would be the best fit for the role of Protima in the film.

Pooja remarked,” The most critical aspect to concentrate on first is the narrative. I will be involved in the project right from scripting to end result.” Confirming that she’ll be personally contributing to it.

Protima, Pooja’s mother, was a model turned dancer who founded the Nrityagram school in Bangalore. In 1969, she married Kabir Bedi. However, the couple separated later in 1974. When her son and Pooja’s brother Siddharth died by suicide. After battling schizophrenia, she took up the Odissi dance form. Eventually she gave up everything to become a sanyasin.
