Kamal Haasan’s new movie, Vikram, is the most popular movie in theatres. The movie made Rs 11 crores on its second Friday, bringing its total to Rs 175 crores in about eight days. The movie should make well over Rs 40 crores in its second weekend, which will let it pass Rs 200 crores on Sunday. The movie was a big hit at the box office, so superstar Chiranjeevi Konidela had Kamal Haasan over for dinner to celebrate the film’s success.

This weekend, Vikram made more than Rs 100 crores in Tamil Nadu. With a total of Rs 105 crores, it is now the tenth highest-grossing film in the history of the state, pushing Petta out of the top ten. The movie will move up in the rankings over the weekend. It will definitely pass KGF Chapter 2 this weekend and beat Beast to become the highest-grossing movie in the state for the year. It has a good chance of beating Viswasam and going all the way to the top five of all time.
