Malaika Arora reveals on talking to Arbaaz Khan after their breakup’

Actress and television personality Malaika Arora has opened up about her reaction to her ex-husband, actor Arbaaz Khan, alleged breakup. On Monday’s episode of her reality series Moving In With Malaika, Malaika revealed she doesn’t know about it and doesn’t inquire about it. Giorgia Andriani, a model and dancer, and Arbaaz have been dating for almost four years.

In the show, Karan asked Malaika, “What’s your relationship with Arbaaz Khan now? We haven’t chatted about that in a while.” Talking about it, Malaika replied, “I think it’s lovely now. I think we are way better now.” Karan then asked, “Did you feel the need to reach out when he had a breakup recently? It was written about, I don’t know, I’m not sure.”

Malaika said, “I don’t know, I will be very honest, I don’t ask. I’m not even that kind of person who asks Arhaan (Khan), ‘What’s going on?’ I don’t do that. I just feel I don’t like to cross a certain path, I don’t like to do that. I feel like I’m crossing that line. I know a lot of divorced couples where they get information out of their kids, I’m not one of them. I tend to stay away from that.”

Recalling the time after Malaika’s road accident earlier this year, Karan said, “I remember what was interesting which I took back home with me after your accident the whole family showed up. I mean they were there. I mean some roots are forever.” Malaika responded, “I may not be their number one person on their list but they do it because Arhan is there. That’s the right thing to do.”

Malaika was driving from Pune to Mumbai when she was involved in an automobile accident on April 2 in Khopoli, Maharashtra. She had injuries and needed to be treated at a hospital.

She recently shared the following with Farah Khan on her show: “When I was wheeled out one of the first faces that I saw was actually Arbaaz, at that moment. And he kept asking me, ‘Can you see? How many numbers? How many fingers?’ And I was like ‘why is he doing this?’ It was very strange. For a second, I was like okay ‘have I gone back in time?’ Something that really sticks out is in difficult times, you know that irrespective whatever it may be, past, present, future, jo bhi ho (whatever happened), the way he was there.”

In 1998, Malaika and Arbaaz got married. They made their split public in March 2016 and divorced formally in May 2017. Their kid Arhaan is co-parented by them. At the moment, Malaika is dating actor Arjun Kapoor.
