Shaheen Bhatt gives competition to Adele on her song Easy on Me

Alia Bhatt posted a video of her sister Shaheen Bhatt singing Adele’s “Easy On Me” on Instagram Stories. Shaheen’s unreleased video was published by Alia along with a petition asking her to perform more frequently for the audience. She accompanied it with a red heart emoji. Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar also responded to Shaheen’s singing video and wrote, “Girl you need to sing,” on her initial post.

On Saturday, Shaheen tweeted a collection of images depicting her life in 2022 ahead of New Year’s Eve. She released a video of herself singing the Adele song alongside them. Shaheen appeared in one of the pictures alongside Alia Bhatt. Another image showed Shaheen sobbing while seated on a sofa at Alia and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding in April. The unposed image showed her donning a pink outfit. She also shared some images from her recent travels.

Sharing the pictures Shaheen wrote, “2 0 2 2 – a not-so-random collection.” Shaheen’s singing ability astonished many followers, who left comments on her post. One wrote: “You have a good voice, Shaheen! You should sing; your voice is lovely.” One more person wrote, “Whatttt! Oh my God, your voice!”

Within a short period of time, Shaheen published another post showing snippets of her life in 2022. There were some shots of Shaheen alone and others with her favourite cat. Additionally, there was a picture of a foil balloon with Raha Kapoor, her niece, scribbled on it. She added “2 0 2 2 – part deux (2)” as the caption. It drew Alia’s remark, “Why are you so cute?”

Shaheen had previously discussed Alia’s pregnancy rumours and how the actor had gotten pregnant prior to her marriage to Ranbir earlier in October. Following a protracted relationship, Alia and Ranbir Kapoor got married on April 14. The couple was married in a small ceremony at their home in Mumbai. The stars made the announcement that they were ready to become parents in June, two months after they had been married.

Shaheen had remarked in an interview on Alia’s pregnancy, “I will not speak for her (Alia) because that is her own journey. Anything that she has dealt with internally is completely her journey. Having said that, you can never really please everybody. There is always going to be a negative comment or two out there. And I think living in the public eye, we are all very practised at knowing what to pay heed to and what not to focus on.”
