Actress Swara Bhasker responded to a recent video of Sadhvi Pragya, also known as MP Pragya Singh Thakur, on her Twitter account. The Bharatiya Janata Party member can be seen in the video advising “Hindu” people to avoid the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone movie. After their debut song, Besharam Rang, was released, the film’s controversy really got going.

MP Pragya Singh Thakur didn’t seem to know the name of the movie in the video. But she said, referring to Besharam Rang, “Main Hinduon se awaan karti hu uski koi film na dekhe (I urge Hindus to not watch Pathaan).”

Since its debut, Besharam Rang has been courting controversy. Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone can be seen dancing to the song in Spain. The lyrics were penned by Kumaar, and Vishal-Sheykhar created the music. The song has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.

Many people first called for a boycott due to Deepika’s attire in the song, which included a saffron bikini.
