Krrish 4 is absolutely in the works and will “happen real soon,” according to Hrithik Roshan. His successful superhero franchise’s fourth instalment has been eagerly anticipated by fans. It has taken ten years to create Krrish.

Koi… Mil Gaya, the first movie in the series, came out in 2003 and was directed by Hrithik Roshan’s father, the director Rakesh Roshan. Krrish, which debuted in 2006, and Krrish 3, which debuted in 2013, came after it.

Hrithik Roshan in a recent interview said when asked about Krrish 4: “I think, we should all get together and send out a little prayer. Everything is set (about Krrish 4) but we are stuck on one little technicality. Hopefully, we will overcome that by year end. Krrish 4 is definitely in the pipeline and it will happen real soon.”

He also discussed the production of his new movie, Fighter, and recalled his interactions with the Indian Air Force. “We are shooting with real fighter jets. We just shot in a Sukhoi. It has been so inspiring just being around the Indian Air Force. There is so much to learn from their body language, decorum, the discipline, their courage and intelligence. I am very glad that I got to experience that myself,” he told the portal.

Hrithik released a sneak peek of Krrish 4 on Twitter in June of last year. “The past is done. Let’s see what the future brings. #15YearsOfKrrish #Krrish4,” the actor wrote alongside the short video clip.

Krrish follows Krishna’s adventures as he defends the world from evildoers (Koi Mil Gaya’s protagonist Rohit’s son, who has inherited the father’s superhuman talents). In the movie, which also starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Rekha, and Naseeruddin Shah, Hrithik performed the three roles of Rohit, Krishna, and Krrish.

The release date for Krrish 4 was first revealed in 2018, when director Rakesh Roshan stated that it would happen around Christmas. The movie has now been postponed, though.
