In a recent interview, Fatehi talked openly about her early struggles in the entertainment business. She had trouble adjusting to the language in her early days in India and encountered rejection and criticism at auditions.

She also relates a heartbreaking incident in which a casting director advised her to return to her native country because there were already enough people who were similar to her.
