Priyanka Chopra shares the first look from her upcoming series

The first images from Priyanka Chopra‘s new Prime Video series Citadel, in which she portrays elite spy Nadia Sinh, have been released. The first two episodes of the show, which also stars Richard Madden, Lesley Manville, and Stanley Tucci, will air on April 28. The actor in the Instagram photos may be holding a gun while wearing a red outfit. She later joins forces with Richard’s character as they embark on a quest.

The actor posted a photo on Instagram on Monday with the caption, “First look at @citadelonprime via @vanityfair #CitadelOnPrime.” The new stills also feature additional characters from the Citadel universe in addition to Priyanka. Her co-star in The White Tiger, actor Rajkummar Rao, posted a red love emoji with the words “Awesomeeeee.” The new series has fans who were “very enthusiastic,” they continued. “Priyanka is about to slay as always.” said one fan. Another individual said, “Excuse me? WHAT!!! It’s so good.”

Working for the unaffiliated Citadel organisation as spies are Richard and Priyanka. The spy thriller, according to Vanity Fair, starts after Citadel has fallen, and they must determine why. The fact that their memories have been lost makes their endeavour more difficult. Priyanka claimed that her persona was very different from who she actually is. “I’m a goofball, so what was the biggest challenge for me was to be really cool. This was physically demanding, emotionally demanding, but it’s such a fun show to be a part of.”

It blew my head, she continued. “It kind of blew my mind. This is something that’s never been attempted on television before, and just the social experiment and the audacity of it was just so exciting to me.” Also, the six-episode series will connect to the Prime Video episodes in Italian and Hindi. The Indian television series, directed by Raj and DK, is now filming there with Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Later this year, Priyanka will co-star with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion in the romantic comedy Love Again. She is also scheduled to start shooting for the Farhan Akhtar-directed film Jee Le Zaraa, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
