Shah Rukh Khan said I have only wanted to be an action hero
Shah Rukh Khan, a superstar, is currently basking in the resounding success of his most recent film, Pathaan. After a lengthy four years, he made his big-screen debut once more. After the movie’s January 25 release, business at the box office has continued unabated. In addition to John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana playing significant roles, it is directed by Siddharth Anand.
Pathaan’s making-of video was published today by Aditya Chopra’s YRF, giving viewers a look at the action thriller’s BTS. Shah Rukh, who has been in the entertainment business for 32 years, claimed that he always wanted to be an action hero but ended up choosing to play a love hero instead.
King Khan‘s Pathaan is on pace to earn more than 900 crores worldwide. From the beginning, it has been shattering records and setting new ones. Shah Rukh can be seen discussing his first straight-up action movie in the making-of video. For the first time, the celebrity and Siddharth collaborated. He is seen thanking his director. Says Khan: “I came to the film industry 32 years ago to be an action hero, but I missed the boat because they made me a romantic hero instead. I have only wanted to be an action hero, so for me, it is my dream come true.”
He also added, “I think this genre of film nobody knows better than Siddharth. I’m working with him for the first time, he just knows…this kind of cinema he knows very well. I just love the world that Siddharth makes.”
Shah Rukh also praised the way the action scenes were filmed. Even the beautiful settings and cool music that created the mood were mentioned by him. He revealed, “It’s an action film that is close to my heart. I think it is made with a lot of goodness by a lot of good people. I hope you enjoy this larger than life (film), I think its cinematic which is the call of the day. It’s a film you want to watch on a big screen. I think Pathaan is fun, it’s happy, it’s good looking, it’s technically quite forward, lovely locations, lovely songs, beautiful people and I think the action is very nice.”
Salman Khan made a surprise cameo in Pathaan as well. SRK and Salman’s scenes are among the movie’s standout moments. They did a fantastic job at re-creating the magic of Karan Arjun for the audience to enjoy. The audience was in splits from their entertaining banter.
