Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan comes in fourth on the list of highest-grossing Indian movies

Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, is now on a record-breaking binge as it has become the only Hindi film to achieve a domestic total of over Rs. 400 crores and is the fastest Indian movie to do so for the Hindi language.

With all versions included, the all-India net has surpassed Rs. 450 crores, and after 15 days, the movie’s gross earnings are a respectable Rs. 542 crores. This makes Pathaan the sixth movie after Baahubali 2, KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Dangal, and 2.0 to surpass the Rs. 500 crore gross club and the fourth-highest-grossing movie in India behind Baahubali 2, KGF: Chapter 2, and RRR.

Pathaan was always anticipated to perform well in the nation, but the record-breaking box office results have given the trade significant cause for optimism on the future of Bollywood films in India. Pathaan has dispelled all myths and, in the post-pandemic period when the Hindi film industry is not operating at its full potential, has surpassed KGF: Chapter 2 to become not only the highest Hindi origin film in India but also the most seen Hindi version movie ever.

The actor’s upcoming movie Jawan is among the top contenders to match or top the gross receipts of Pathaan in India. In contrast to Pathaan, which received more than 95% of its box office revenue from the Hindi version, these movies will need to rely on the receipts from various versions of the film. With the exception of Baahubali 2, Pathaan‘s highest single-language gross is more than every other Indian movie. This is a huge accomplishment since it demonstrates the continued popularity of Shah Rukh Khan and his films.
