Anil Kapoor has admitted that during the 1997 filming of their co-starring movie Judaai, he was anxious about dancing alongside dancers Sridevi and Urmila Matondkar.

To commemorate the movie’s 26th birthday, he published images from it. Raj Kanwar directed the movie, which included Anil, Sridevi, and Urmila in the key parts.

Anil stated,“The decision to do judaai was not easy one for me at the time, but I’m so glad that I chose to do it! I was paired with two beautiful leading ladies – Sri and Urmila.”, along with photos of himself with Sridevi, Urmila, and producer Boney Kapoor. I was placed with Sri and Urmila, two stunning leading females.

He added, “And I still remember how nervous I was, dancing with Sri Ji and Urmila as they both are such incredible dancers! 26 years later today, when I think about the film and all the memories I made I always have a smile on my face!”

Boney Kapoor, the movie’s producer, also posted a poster and wrote, “26 years of Judaai – very special film with memorable performances from @sridevi.kapoor @anilskapoor @urmilamatondkarofficial Kader Khan @pareshrawalofficial @iam_johnylever @upasnasinghofficial.”

In an interview with Urmila for a dance reality programme last year, she revealed that Sridevi was carrying Janhvi Kapoor while she worked on Judaai. In 1996, Sridevi, who passed away in February 2018, wed producer Boney Kapoor.

The movie ended up being a box office success and received positive reviews from the stars’ fans. Anil, however, first refused to participate in the movie.

In an interview from the previous year, Anil stated, “I kept on saying no to the film as I could not connect with my character. I had a lot of pressure from family and the family production company as we were going through tough times financially after the debacle of Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja.”

In the unsuccessful film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Anil and Sridevi were previously teamed. Also, they have appeared in hit movies like Mr. India and Lamhe together.

Anil‘s acting in the Indian adaption of the British television show The Night Manager is now receiving high praise. Shobhita Dhulipala and Aditya Roy Kapur are also present in the Hindi version. Saswata Chatterjee and Tillotama Shoma.

Next up for Anil is the Siddharth Anand-helmed action thriller Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
