Luv Ranjan said that Ranbir Kapoor has ‘still not taken his money’ from him

Ranbir Kapoor, the lead actor in the recently released movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, hasn’t yet given the director Luv Ranjan any payment for the picture, according to the director. According to Luv in a recent interview, Ranbir hasn’t ‘failed’ him over the past four years. In addition to praising Luv, the actor stated that he “put his life on the line” to make the movie.

The principal actors in the romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar are Ranbir and  Ranbir and Shraddha worked together for the first time in the movie. Produced by Luv Productions and Ankur Garg, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is presented by Gulshan and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. Boney Kapoor, Anubhav Singh Bassi, and Dimple Kapadia are also included in the film.

Ranbir Kapoor said, “I know when he made this film, he used no deceit. He put his life on the line and I respect that. I have heard that when my grandfather made films, houses would be mortgaged and my grandmother’s jewellery was mortgaged. But that kind of putting your skin in the game, that level of madness to make movies, I always respect that. I feel this will be fun now because someone has put their life on the line to make a film. It sounds crazy to do all this for a film but there is respect too.”

Luv said, “I didn’t know we were going to be this honest in this interview but since we are, I will say this. He has still not taken his money from me. There is a time in your life when you have to tell the other person that I am in need of this thing right now. So, in the last four years, he hasn’t failed me.”

The premiere of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has gone well. Taran Adarsh, an analyst of the movie industry, tweeted on Monday, “#TuJhoothiMainMakkaar packs a solid number in its extended weekend… Biz on Sat and Sun gave the film that extra push… Weekdays crucial, all eyes on Mon… Wed 15.73 cr, Thu 10.34 cr, Fri 10.52 cr, Sat 16.57 cr, Sun 17.08 cr. Total: ₹ 70.24 cr. #India biz. #TJMM”. Ranbir even went to a hall in Mumbai a few days ago to observe how the spectators were responding.

In addition, Ranbir will appear in the upcoming action-thriller movie Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol also appear in the movie.
