Madhuri Dixit and her husband were spotted during the actor’s mom’s funeral

Snehlata Dikshit, Madhuri Dixit‘s mother, passed away in Mumbai on Sunday. The actor was seen driving to her funeral in a white sedan with spouse Dr. Shriram Nene, their younger son Ryan, and other family members. The actor linked her hands in acknowledgment as the paparazzi swarmed her car to get a sight of her.

In her 90s, Snehlata Dikshit. The information about her passing was given to the media by Madhuri and Dr. Shriram Nene. “Our beloved Aai, Snehalata Dikshit, passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by her loved ones.”  the statement stated. Vaikunth Dham in Worli was the location of her funeral ceremonies.

The youngest of four siblings, Madhuri, posted a touching message last year to celebrate her mother’s 90th birthday. She has a senior brother and two senior sisters. Their father passed away in 2013 at age 91.

Madhuri had written on her birthday the previous year, sharing previously unseen photos of her mother, “Happy Birthday, Aai! They say a mother is a daughter’s best friend. They couldn’t be any more right. From everything that you’ve done for me, the lessons that you’ve taught have been the biggest gift for me from you. I wish you only good health & happiness!” Madhuri had penned, along with rare and unseen pictures of her mother.”

Despite having bad eyesight, Snehlata Dikshit used to paint. Dr. Shriram Nene wrote a post on how they have been keeping her paintings safe last month. “My 90-year-old mother-in-law paints. She has macular degeneration and can’t see too well. But what comes out of her mind is remarkable. She is the loveliest, most positive person in the world. We had her paintings placed on mugs to remind us of her talent.”

Madhuri last appeared in the Maja Ma movie last year. With the web series The Fame Game, she made a comeback in the acting world.
