Drake’s latest song appears to be a dig at Drake from Serena Williams’ husband

The husband of Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian has replied to Drake’s latest song lyrics that call him a “groupie.”

Her Loss, Drake, and 21 Savage’s joint album were released on Friday. The Canadian rapper pokes fun at Ohanian in the song “Middle of the Ocean,” but he doesn’t take it lying down.

Drake, 36, raps in the song, “Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie / He says we don’t get a problem but / No, boo, it is like you comin’ for sushi.”

Since then, Ohanian, 39, has appeared to retaliate on Twitter by posting a picture of himself and his 5-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia watching one of Williams’ tennis matches from the sidelines.

“I’m relentless about being the very best at whatever I do — even being the best groupie for my wife & kid,” he wrote. “The reason I stay winning is that I’m the best at everything I do.

The 41-year-old tennis pro quickly responded in support with a slew of cheerful and heart-shaped emojis.

On social media, fans also came out in support of Ohanian, with one commenting, “GAG HIM ALEXIS,” and another, “Serena has gotten the man she deserves.”

When a reporter asked representatives for Drake and Williams for comment, they did not react right away.

Drake, who was longtime acquainted with Williams and was linked to her in 2015, also made reference to her in his 2013 song “Worst Behavior.”

“I’m with my whole set, tennis matches at the crib / I swear I could beat Serena when she playin’ with her left,” he sang.

On Friday, Drake and 21 Savage appeared to accuse Megan Thee Stallion of lying about being shot by artist Tory Lanez in the lyrics of a new song, adding to the tension surrounding their new album.

Lanez, 30, is accused of shooting Megan, 27, in the foot in July 2020. He was charged with two felonies in October of that same year. He entered a not-guilty plea to each accusation.

Despite Lanez’s repeated accusations that he is a “abuser,” Drake appeared to make reference to the incident in his latest song, “Circo Loco,” and seemed to imply that Megan made the shooting up.

Drake raps in the song, “This girl lie about getting shots / But she still a stallion.” She doesn’t even comprehend the humor, yet she continues to smile.

Megan initially appeared to dismiss the comments in a string of tweets she sent out early on Friday, writing, “I know I’m super popular but y’all gotta quit connecting weak ass conspiracy theories in bars to my name lol.” Since “stallion” is slang for a “tall heavy woman,” Megan again suggested that the line was not necessarily about her after a fan pointed out that Drake “technically” did mention her name in his lyrics.

However, not long after, Megan demanded that people stop “using my shooting for clout” and her tone altered.

Megan’s attorney Alex Spiro attacked individuals who continued to support Lanez in a statement that was made public.

“The uneducated continue to embrace her attacker despite the overwhelming evidence that Megan was a victim of gun violence,” Spiro claimed.
