Even though it is Thanksgiving, The Masked Singer turned the volume down for the Halloween season. Two new celebrity contestants arrived for the episode with a Fright Night theme airing on November 23, although one of them had to leave early due to personal reasons.

Sir Bugaboo opened the celebrations with a performance of “Devil with a Blue Dress On” by Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels, making his Masked Singer debut. A film reel and a phone covered in question marks were among Bugaboo’s clues. After his performance, Bugaboo disclosed that he had previously collaborated with Nicole Scherzinger, one of the panelists.

Coming up “Abracadabra” by the Steve Miller Band was performed by Scarecrow when they first took the stage. Her box of clues contained references to Wes Craven, a gold globe, and figure skates.

It was now time for Snowstorm, who had advanced on the episode from November 16 to watch Ava Max sing “Sweet but Psycho.” The two fresh hints provided by Snowstorm were a frightening doll in a box and an image of a house.

At that point, everything changed for the worst.

Scarecrow declared her intention to withdraw from the tournament while she awaited the first fan vote.

“I came to share how much I love you and what you have done for the world and family entertainment,” she said with her giant Jack-o-Lantern head still attached. “But I would like to officially bow out and unmask and let these two incredible competitors go on.”

Scarecrow remarked as the panelists and audience protested: “These two rivals are genuine competitors. I was only here to annoy Ken Jeong.”

Linda Blair, the star of The Exorcist, then emerged as Scarecrow.

The Battle Royale was then between Sir Bugaboo and Snowstorm, who each gave a rendition of “Somebody’s Watching Me” by Rockwell.

After all, was said and done, Snowstorm emerged victorious for the second week in a row, earning a place with Harp and The Lambs in the semifinals.

Despite a heroic effort, Sir Bugaboo’s identity was revealed to be Ray Parker Jr., who composed and sang the Ghostbusters theme song.
