‘Clark Griswold’ Is The New Feels With Kids Says Nick Carter

• Nick Carter is prepared to give his three children the best Christmas ever.
• Before hosting JCPenney’s Live Holiday Spectacular on Thursday, the singer, 42, shared a seat  with his Backstreet Boys bandmates Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Howie Dorough. He said that during the holidays, he feels like Clark Griswold from the movie Christmas Vacation.
• Carter, who lives with his wife Lauren Kitt, 39, and children Odin Reign, 612, Saoirse Reign, 3, and 19-month-old Pearl, said of his three children: “I got three kids, two girls and a boy, and they’re all really young, so I’m pretty much like Clark Griswold putting up all the ornaments and the decorations outside and the trees.”

Carter claimed he also experienced a “epic fail” with his own tree the previous year, much to Clark Griswold’s Christmas tree that catches fire.

In order to get the bulbs operating, he explained, “I had to buy this device. I was outdoors with a staple gun and a ladder.” But performing the fatherly chores and putting up the decorations is somewhat of a ritual for me.

“They’re not just your standard candy cane or ornament shapes,” he remarked. We also make any wonderful stuff we desire by hand in addition to those things.

The 44-year-old McLean claimed that his brother-in-law even created cookies that resembled Kevin McCallister’s infamous scream in the mirror from the movie Home Alone. He also gave some of them the shape of Die Hard’s Nakatomi Tower.

McLean claimed that he hangs the leg lamp from another holiday classic, A Christmas Story, in his residence.

Every year, Richardson, 51, bakes cookies at home alongside his wife Kristin, 52, and sons Mason, 15, and Maxwell, 9. They also collect both new and used toys for donation.

He continued, “We carry them down to the fireplace which typically distributes them. During this time of year, we aim to teach our children the importance of giving to others and returning the favour.

Littrell, 47, claimed that he, his wife Leighann, 53, and son Baylee, 20, are all about giving back.

“We check out the coat drives, and we throw our coats,” he added. “Or we work with groups and offer gifts to kids that might be less fortunate.” “Along with baking the cookies and adding the embellishments, there is something that is extremely, extremely significant. The world’s best decorator is my wife.”

Dorough, 49, always has matching pyjamas and music playing on Christmas morning at his home with boys James, 13, and Holden, 9, and wife Leigh Boniello, 48.

We’ll play vintage music from A Charlie Brown Christmas, Bing Crosby, and other artists, he continued, bringing out our ancient record player. Now that we have our own album, A Very Backstreet Christmas, that I can play for my children as they open their presents, I’m genuinely incredibly proud of that.

In October, the band released A Very Backstreet Christmas. They launched the claymation music video for their album track “Christmas In New York” during the JCPenney Live Holiday Spectacular.

Since we were on tour, we wondered, “How do we shoot a music video?” Richardson thought back. “During our DNA tour’s few days off in between the two legs in the US and Canada, we came to the conclusion that we all adored and grew up watching the claymation TV special Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer. We thought that having each of us as small claymation figures would be quite cool. Thus, that as well as the city of New York during the holiday season served as inspiration. It’s a very amazing location, I mean.”
