Lacey Chabert openly expressed her support for Hallmark Channel after Candace Cameron Bure announced her decision to leave the network

The Relationship between the Biggest Stars on Hallmark Channel and Great American Media and Their Network

“I’m able to be more of who I am here than possibly anywhere else I’ve worked,” In an interview with Vulture that was released earlier this month, Chabert stated.

The actress expressed her satisfaction with the improvements taking place off-screen and said, “Any shift I’ve felt has been accepting our creative ideas. Furthermore, I owe it to the viewers who keep watching my films to put up my very best effort. That has always been my goal.

“I’ll never give up what Hallmark means to me, which is that everything is focused on the heart,” the Mean Girls actress continued. There don’t appear to be any immediate plans to modify that.

The native of Mississippi made her remarks exactly one month after Hallmark Channel star Cameron Bure, 46, made headlines for pondering switching to Great American Family. (The Full House alum made his Hallmark Channel debut in 2008 and worked there for 14 years. Before she left the network, her Aurora Teagarden film series established itself as a mainstay.)

“My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them,” Cameron Bure explained to WSJ. Magazine in November about her professional move. “I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.”

The former Talk cohost asserted at the time that after previous CEO Bill Abbott resigned in 2020 amid controversy over the removal of an advertisement portraying a same-sex couple, Hallmark became “a whole different network.” (Abbott, 60, later rose through the ranks to become Great American Media’s president and CEO.)

Cameron Bure said, in answer to a query on whether Great American Media intended to release LGBTQIA+ films, “I hope that Great American Family will preserve traditional marriage at the core.”

In addition, Abbott commented on the network’s programming, saying, “We are aware of the trends since it is undoubtedly the year 2022. There isn’t a whiteboard that indicates “Yes, this” or “No, we won’t go there.

The Fuller House alumna later corrected her position in the same month after facing criticism.

“All of you who know me, know beyond question that I have great love and affection for all people,” she wrote via Instagram. “It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone. It saddens me that the media is often seeking to divide us, even around a subject as comforting and merry as Christmas movies. But, given the toxic climate in our culture right now, I shouldn’t be surprised. We need Christmas more than ever.”

When asked about Cameron Bure’s contentious remarks, Chabert responded, “You know what, I wish everyone the best. I really have nothing more to say about it than that I care about everyone involved.

The former Baby Daddy star wouldn’t say if she had previously been asked to leave Hallmark for GAF. “I work for Hallmark and am with them. I’m really sorry, but I’m going to have to stop there,” she said.
