Olivia Colman pulled off a royal heist all on her own. Before leaving Buckingham Palace permanently, the Oscar winner who portrayed Queen Elizabeth II in seasons three and four of Netflix’s The Crown was able to get a particular souvenir.

The third season of The Crown begins with an image of Olivia examining a new stamp design featuring her face in it. This is our first look at her as the late Queen. In reality, the scene proceeded in a fairly similar manner.

“On my first day on The Crown, which was about the stamp thing,” Olivia explained Dec. 29 on The Graham Norton Show, “there was an envelope on the desk and it was ‘To her Majesty, the Queen’ and it had my face on a stamp.”

Olivia indicates that it was her genuine face, as the Queen, and not Elizabeth’s, on the stamp because The Crown is so meticulous about details.

Olivia added, “It was a beautiful props person who said, ‘I’m not authorized to do this, but take that.'” after everyone had stopped to admire the craftsmanship.

If Olivia’s care of her own Oscar statuette is any indicator, the souvenir is probably not currently on display in a prominent location.

Olivia explained to host Graham Norton that she kept her Best Actress award from 2018 “in the cupboard” because “having it out feels a bit pompous.” Don’t worry; Olivia let herself enjoy her Oscars success—at least briefly.

She remarked, “I think after that you should crack on, forget it happened, and start working. It was out for the first year.”

Netflix has made all five seasons of The Crown—including the two that starred Olivia as Queen Elizabeth—available to stream. There is no work being done on the sixth and final season.
