Tina Turner grieves the death of her “loving” son Ronnie

Tina Turner’s “loving” son, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 62. You left the world way too soon, Ronnie. I close my eyes in sorrow and think of you, my little boy,” the singer wrote in the caption of a black-and-white Instagram photo of her on Friday.

Ronnie passed away on December 8th. Although his exact cause of death is unknown, he had recently experienced a number of medical problems, including cancer.

After the actor passed away, Ronnie’s widow, Afida, shared an emotional tribute to him on Instagram.

Afida captioned a carousel of pictures of her late husband with, “My god Ronnie turner a true angel huge [sic] soul highly spiritual my husband my best friend my baby your [sic] mummy your nurse I did the best to the end this time I was no [sic] able to save you love u for this 17 years this is very very very bad I am very mad.”

This is tragic; may your father, Ike Turner, and your mother, Aline, rest in paradise. It’s so unjust.

They didn’t have any kids. After Craig, his elder brother, committed suicide in 2018 at the age of 59 by shooting himself, Ronnie passed away.

Three months later, Tina remarked in an interview, “I still don’t know what brought him to the brink since at that moment he had expressed to me that he had never met a woman that he felt that way about.

“He was bringing her to meet me [for] his birthday in August. He had decorated his apartment that I bought him years ago. He had gotten a new job with a prominent real estate company in California, which he was very happy with.”

A year later, Tina, 83, stated that she thought his suicide was motivated by loneliness.

“I think Craig was lonely, that’s what I think really got him more than anything else,” she said. “I have pictures all around of him smiling, and I think I’m sensing that he’s in a good place. I really do.”
