Party Down has returned, almost 13 years after season 2 ended, according to the first season, 3 trailers were released by STARZ on Thursday. It has the old cast reunited with a variety of new partygoers.

Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullally are back for the celebrations, and some new faces, including none other than Jennifer Garner, are joining the original cater-waiters.

Henry Pollard (Scott), who plays Garner’s persona, is questioned about a mistyped name on the official Party Down catering company’s business cards.

“What’s with the card?” asks Garner’s character as Henry responds, ‘You mean, why it is weirdly big?”

“No this,” she continues, pointing to the error. “What’s ‘Party Dowm’? With an M.'” Upon realizing the error, inept manager Ron Donald (Marino) blurts out, “S—!”

Garner, 50, isn’t the only famous person that showed up unannounced. Quinta Brunson, who created Abbott Elementary, makes an appearance in the trailer along with Nick Offerman, Judy Reyes, Liv Hewson, and James Marsden.

Dan Bakkedahl, Fran Kranz, Ki Hong Lee, Lyric Lewis, Bobby Moynihan, and Calum Worthy are among further well-known guest stars.

The events of season 2 are revisited some years later, by which time Scott’s bartender Henry and the majority of the Party Down staff had quit their jobs as caterers. However, as the team gets together for the first time in a while, everyone finally finds themselves back at the organization.

“It must be so fun to be back, slinging d’oeuvres with the old gang,” says Mullally’s Lydia Dunfee as Hansen’s Kyle Bradway replies, “Mmm, mmm… no. No, it sucks.”

The first two seasons of Party Down were broadcast in 2009 and 2010. After being terminated in June 2010, the sitcom was revived by STARZ in November 2021, some years later.

There will be six episodes in the third part. Even while the majority of the original ensemble is back, Lizzy Caplan, a former series regular, won’t be appearing in the upcoming season.

Alongside Tyrel Jackson Williams and Zo Chao, Garner joins as a new series regular. Marsden will make frequent guest appearances.
