A new decade is beginning for Julie Chrisley. A few days before beginning her seven-year prison term in a Florida prison, the Chrisley Knows Best singer celebrated her milestone birthday on Monday while surrounded by the affection of her family.

Following their conviction for bank fraud and tax evasion, Julie Chrisley and her husband Todd Chrisley have both been ordered to report to their respective minimum-security prisons on January 17. Although Julie’s seven years in prison are fewer than Todd’s 12 years, they both face an additional 16 months on probation following their release.

In an Instagram tribute to her mother on Thursday, their daughter Savannah openly discussed the prison term, writing in part, “I know this isn’t the birthday we had anticipated but I’ll make it up to you.”

Savannah and Julie were in several cute scenes in the video upload, which she discussed in the caption “We appreciate you being the mother that every girl hopes to have. You only live in fairy tales for many people, but for me… YOU ARE my actual angel. You have a heart that is overflowing with generosity and love.”

Later in the article, she commended Julie’s moral character, saying that she had “taught her what it is to be a ONE OF A KIND sorta wife” by “loving her dad so truly.” “There’s no greater than you mama let’s fight the good fight!” she concluded the birthday homage.

Lindsie, Julie’s stepdaughter, wrote a touching remark on Savannah’s Instagram tribute saying, “We love you Mimi,” and shared the same message along with a video of Julie walking on her Instagram story after Savannah’s post went live.

After the guilty judgments, the family continued to insist that they are innocent and that their trial was unfair. Court documents showed on Wednesday that the couple’s application for bail pending appeal was denied following the filing of an appeal in December. The court also rejected their request to extend their surrender date by 21 days, according to the records.

Peter Tarantino, their former accountant, was also given a three-year prison term and a three-year supervised release period. On May 1st, he will report to prison.

The future of Todd and Julie’s television shows is still unknown as they get ready to serve their prison sentences. The new season 10 episodes of Chrisley Knows Best have been filmed, and they will premiere as scheduled at some point this year.

It is unknown if their off-screen offspring will carry on the show without them.
