Pamela Anderson, Kelly Slater’s ex-girlfriend, continues to be a favorite. The 50-year-old 11-time World Surf League champion recently congratulated Anderson and her family on the Netflix documentary Pamela, a love story’s premiere. Anderson, 55, looked back on her life, career, and relationships in the film, which included a connection with Slater.

“I’m happy for you folks. I’m looking forward to it.:)” Slater left a comment on a blog post written by Brandon Thomas Lee, the intimate documentary’s producer, and Anderson and Tommy Lee’s son.

In one open admission from the movie, Anderson said that she was still seeing Slater during her hasty engagement with Lee, now 60, in 1995, when they were married four days after the first meeting. The bride’s new ex received her initial call.

“I was dating Kelly Slater at the time, and I was supposed to go see him in Florida and meet his family,” she said, recounting the impromptu Cancún beach wedding. “My first phone call was to him to tell him I was married. He’s like, ‘what?!’ That was horrible.’ ”

Anderson cherished the memories of her early love affair with Slater, whom she had met through their Baywatch co-stardom. “He was actually my true love. He was such a lovely guy and a sweetheart to me “She thought.

Kelly and the former Playboy Playmate were together “between a ton of boyfriends and plenty of girlfriends for him too, but it wasn’t just me,” the former Playboy Playmate claimed.

But Anderson noted that Slater was a “free spirit.” “You were unable to approach him with your hands. However, nobody is owned by you. You just need to let people be who they are because nobody owns anyone. It’s preferable sometimes to avoid you.”

At the Los Angeles premiere of Pamela, A Love Story, Anderson earlier gave a press conference where she discussed how personal the film and her biography Love, Pamela were to her.

It’s obviously emotional for me, Anderson admits. “It’s just a collection of both happy and difficult memories. But I yearned to revisit and experience those emotions.”

Netflix is currently streaming Pamela, a Love Story, and Love, Pamela is accessible everywhere books are sold.
