Hayden Panettiere claims that her late brother Jansen “is right there with me”

Two weeks after her late brother Jansen’s untimely passing, Hayden Panettiere is remembering him. Co-host Michael Strahan expressed his condolences to the Scream 6 star over Jansen’s passing on Monday’s episode of Good Morning America.

The 33-year-old actress Panettiere thanked him and said, “He’s right here with me.” while placing her palm over her heart.

The actor who starred in Even Stevens, The Walking Dead, and Racing Stripes, Jansen, passed away from an enlarged heart, his family announced last week.

The medical examiner determined that Jansen’s abrupt demise was caused by cardiomegaly (an enlarged heart), along with aortic valve issues, according to a statement released by his family, which includes mother Lesley Vogel, father Alan Lee “Skip” Panettiere, and sister Hayden.

The family stated, “Jansen’s soul could be seen in his skillful and revealing paintings, and the love of life in his dry wit. His heart could be seen in his eyes. His charisma, warmth, empathy, and creative spirit will endure forever in our hearts and the hearts of everyone he came into contact with.

Finally, the statement said, “We really appreciate the love and support that have been shown to our family as they deal with this unimaginable loss, and we ask that you respect our right to privacy at this difficult time. Jansen, you are very dear to us and will always have a special place in our hearts.”

President’s Day weekend saw the discovery of Jansen’s death in New York. He was 28.

A friend of the former child star said in a police report that he had visited Jansen at his apartment after learning that he hadn’t arrived for a scheduled business meeting. First responders were summoned after they arrived and discovered him “sitting erect in a chair unresponsive”. They finally declared him dead.

The article also mentioned that Skip Jansen, Jansen’s father, had just the night before spoken to his son on the phone and felt he “sounded okay.”
