Jesus Revolution from Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company continues to surpass expectations for a film that was only expected to gross $7 million in its opening weekend. The movie made $15.5 million in its domestic debut over three days,
It exceeded the projected $7 million and came in third place behind Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Cocaine Bear. It debuted on the same day as Cocaine Bear and around the same time as Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
The movie made an estimated $8.65 million over the course of its second weekend, bringing in a total of $30 million by Sunday. On its opening weekend, the movie played in almost 2,400 theatres, firmly aimed at the religious audience.
