Legend Boxer Muhammad Ali’s Tv Series in production
A scripted eight-part television series called Excellence: 8 Fights is now being produced as a tribute to the late American boxing legend Muhammad Ali, according to reports.
Regé-Jean Page, an English-Zimbabwean actor, and renowned American actor Morgan Freeman will serve as executive producers of the series, which is based on Jonathan Eig’s biography Ali: A Life and written by Oscar-winning screenwriter Kevin Willmott. Moreover, Freeman and Page will be joined as producers by Willmott, Lori McCreary from Revelations Entertainment, and Emily Brown.
According to the series’ description, Excellence: 8 Fights “will capture eight different and defining moments in the legendary life of Muhammad Ali. The opening of each episode will feature a fight from Ali’s career, but the real focus of the show will be the drama that takes place outside the ring, where we will examine the conflict that existed in Ali’s heart and mind throughout his life as one of the most significant and divisive figures of the 20th century.
The series will be made available on the Peacock streaming service, however an exact release date has not yet been disclosed.
The Greatest (1977), Ali (2001), What’s My Name? : Muhammad Ali (2019), and Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali are just a few of the documentaries and movies that have been made in honour of Ali’s fame (2021).
