Scream VI: Ghostface takes next step as the fandom increases
It's hard to think that Scream VI, or "Ghostface Takes Manhattan," as...
The theatrical debut of Scream VI is just one week away. A spectacular international marketing campaign for the New York-focused slasher sequel has included an experience in Santa Monica, sightings of Ghostface across the country, and even the well-known slasher antagonist getting his own blood-soaked style happy lunch.
Ghostface, who enjoys fine art, can’t help but enjoy a good scare at the museum. Ghostface is shown making fun of visitors to the Grévin Museum in Paris, France, in the newest Scream VI promotional video from Paramount.
In a video shared on Instagram by Paramount Pictures France, visitors can take selfies next to a statue of Ghostface as part of a new exhibit at the Grévin Museum. Never trust a Ghostface, though, as it’s not really a statue. The museum’s visitors quickly discover this the hard way when the infamous slasher killer kills them one by one.
Any Scream fan will delightfully die with laughter at this clever marketing ploy by Paramount. Even though Ghostface and Scream are considered to be American brands, it’s amazing to see Paramount convert the comeback of this slasher into a worldwide must-see event.
It will be fascinating to see how Scream VI performs overseas, even though the film’s domestic debut is expected to be the best in the franchise’s history.
Ghostface will be coming to the theatres on Mar 10.
