Super Yaki delivers stylish costumes for the Willem Dafoe starring film

This Friday, March 17, Focus Features is collaborating with the pop culture company Super Yaki to offer chic new attire for the event before Willem Dafoe is locked inside for the psychological thriller inside. A “dad hat” and t-shirt from the new limited-edition Super Yaki x Inside range exhibit the artistic flair of the movie. On Super Yaki’s website, you may already place pre-orders for any item.

The designs of both items were inspired by a series of teaser posters that Focus had previously disseminated to advertise the movie back in November. The movie’s other trailer, which features a painting of a terrified Willem Dafoe, also completely embraces the film’s artistic theme and draws influence from René Magritte’s 1929 classic The Treachery of Images.

The shirt displays one of the movie’s posters, which features a pigeon with the title written inside of it. This is not Willem Dafoe written on both the shirt and the cap in homage to the famous picture by Magritte that reads, “This is not a pipe.” The price of the shirt is $35 while the price of the cap is $30.

The movie within is somewhat of an experiment for both Dafoe and Vasilis Katsoupis. The movie revolves around Nemo (Dafoe), an expert art thief whose most recent job goes horribly wrong when he ends up trapped in a New York penthouse with nothing but the priceless works he planned to steal, in the same vein as great movies like Castaway and I Am Legend that stars only a single actor. The trailer demonstrated how he used cunning to stay alive in the futuristic dwelling. Yet inside the walls of the penthouse, he steadily spirals into madness, and in a recent episode, he was seen getting so bad that he was talking to a pigeon.
