The president of All Indian Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the BJP government over the implementation of article 370 and GDP slump in India.

According to details, Asaduddin Owaisi criticized Narendra Modi-led BJP government that they only focus on the strong implementation of Article 370, progress in NRC and religion-based citizenship instead of focusing on serious economic crisis in the country. He emphasized that businesses are becoming unstable, employment opportunities are decreasing and financial stress is affecting the families. But the government is only working on Article 370, religion-based citizenship and NRC.

He also lashed out at the government that they do not pay attention to the fact that the country’s GDP has been deteriorating since 2013 and economic crises are becoming higher.

He had criticized government earlier over the religion-based citizenship. Home Minister Amit Shah had said that the National Registration of Citizenship (NRC) will be applied all over the country. Shah had said that Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Buddhist refugees will be given citizenship beforehand after the passage of the bill. However, Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted, “the only people who must fear the NRC are Muslims, according to HM.”

He further said, “Religion cannot be the basis of citizenship, it’s unconstitutional and illegal. I know you are allergic but read the constitution for once.”
