California has reinforced lockdown restrictions on businesses and public spaces as coronavirus cases increased.

California has more than 330,000 Covid-19 cases whereas more than 7,000 people died.

The US has the highest number of coronavirus cases in the world, having 3,479,483 confirmed infections out of which 138,247 have died. On the other hand, 1,549,469 have recovered. The number of active cases is 1,791,767

Globally, there are13,240,434 confirmed Covid-19 infections out of which 575,601 patients have died whereas 7,707,191 have recovered. The number of active cases is 4,957,642.

All indoor activities at restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, zoos, and museums have been closed after orders from Governor Gavin Newsom about restrictions on Monday.

In addition to this, churches, gyms, and hairdressers will also be closed. 

The Democratic governor warned on Monday that “this virus is not going away anytime soon”.

“I hope all of us recognize that if we were still connected to some notion that somehow when it gets warm it’s going to go away or somehow it’s going to take summer months or weekends off – this virus has done neither.

“We are now effective today requiring all counties to close their indoor activities, their indoor operations in the following sectors: restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, movie theatres, family entertainment centers, zoos and museums, card rooms and the shuttering of all bars.

“This is in every county in the state of California,”

On the other hand, Qatar Airways has made conducting Coronavirus tests mandatory for all passengers from Pakistan.

Qatar Airways issued a travel advisory for passengers, informing them that from July 13 everyone leaving Pakistan must present a negative PCR (coronavirus) test to be able to board their planes.
