The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has repealed a legal clause calling for a boycott of Israel following a “peace deal” with Israel.
According to the details, President of the United Arab Emirates Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan had called for the repeal of Federal Law No. 15 of 1972 on “boycotting Israel and imposing sanctions.” Issued a federal decree.
It should be noted that the UAE will be the first Gulf state and the third Arab country to establish full-fledged diplomatic relations with Israel.
UAE companies and traders can now enter into agreements with firms or businesses based in Israel.
The first commercial flight from Israel to the UAE will take off on Monday
An Israeli airline spokesman said that for the first time in history, an official Israeli delegation will fly directly to Abu Tahabi on an EIA flight.
The flight from Tel Aviv will be scheduled on Monday, he said.
Jared Kushner, a senior official in the US President Donald Trump administration and son-in-law, confirmed that he would join the flight along with National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien.
A statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said National Security Adviser Meir Ben Shabbat would lead a “professional delegation.”
The statement said that the talks of the Israeli delegation in Abu Dhabi will be exchanged to promote cooperation on other issues, including aviation, tourism, trade, health, energy and security.
It should be noted that a ‘peace agreement’ was signed between the UAE and Israel this month under which diplomatic relations between the two countries will be restored.
According to the agreement, Israel will postpone its plan for unilateral annexation of parts of the occupied West Bank.
Announcing the agreement, the US president said that the Israeli and UAE delegations would sign bilateral agreements in the coming weeks on investment, tourism, direct flights, security and the establishment of mutual embassies.
The US President had predicted that other countries in the region would follow in the footsteps of the UAE.
Turkey and Iran have strongly criticized the move, while Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain have welcomed it.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia had said that it could not establish diplomatic relations with Israel in imitation of the United Arab Emirates unless the Jewish state signed a peace agreement with the Palestinians.
In addition, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said on the peace agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel that Pakistan’s position is very clear that we can never recognize Israel until the Palestinians get their due.
