Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia had a successful appendix operation.

According to the Saudi News Agency, Muhammad bin Salman underwent a laparoscopic operation at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in the capital Riyadh.

The Saudi Crown Prince was also discharged from the hospital on the same day after the operation.

It should be noted that Muhammad bin Salman is not only the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia but also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quickly emerged as one of the most powerful people in Saudi Arabia and the world.

The 35-year-old prince has greatly influenced Saudi Arabia’s military, foreign policy, economy and daily religious and cultural life.

He is the eldest son of Saudi Crown Prince Salman’s third wife and has spent most of his life in his father’s shadow.

He holds a law degree from King Saud University in Riyadh and has served as a mentor to his father.

As defence minister, he is a key player in Saudi Arabia’s ongoing war against the Houthi rebels and is said to have played a key role in isolating Qatar.

Prince Mohammed bin Nayef Abdulaziz Al Saud was the first Saudi Crown Prince and Interior Minister to be ousted in June 2017 and replaced by Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Muhammad bin Salman was most criticized for the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey, which was directly blamed on the Saudi Crown Prince by various quarters.
