It has been revealed that feared Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov took his 14-year-old son to battle when he led Russia’s brutal attack on Mariupol.

In video footage, the youngster, named Adam, is seen wearing military gear while being shown around a hospital by his autocratic father, who is a close ally of Vladimir Putin, in the wrecked Ukrainian port city.

Kadyrov, 45, said he wants his 12-year-old son to “learn firsthand about the triumphs and needs of our comrades-in-arms.” He also stated that he disagrees with Russia’s decision to ease military pressure on Kyiv, instead vowing to lead an invasion of the Ukrainian capital.

In one scene, the youngster is shown with his father, dressed in dark green military fatigues, visiting Kadryrov’s henchman commander Ruslan Geremeyev in the hospital.

Geremeyev is a suspect in the 2015 assassination of Russian liberal politician Boris Nemtsov, a long-time Putin adversary and former deputy prime minister who was gunned down near the Kremlin.

According to accounts, even the Russian FSB, which was once led by Putin, has been unable to locate and question Geremeyev about the political assassination.

According to Chechen TV, Geremeyev was injured only slightly while fighting Ukrainian defenders.

For his fervent commitment to the Kremlin leader, Kadryrov, who is accused of inflicting mediaeval torture on his rivals in Chechnya, has been dubbed “the son Putin never had.”

The Chechen supremo, who was promoted to Lt-General in the Russian national guard last week, stated for the second day that he had met and been briefed by Andrey Mordvichev, one of the senior commanders murdered by the Ukrainians earlier this month.

Kadyrov was seen introducing the boy to the Russian army general, saying: ‘Here is my Adam’.

Mordvichev replies: ‘Hi, well done!’

Kadyrov tells him: ‘Adam is 13.’

However, records of the boy’s age show him to be 14.

‘I met with the commander of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army, Lieutenant General of the Russian Armed Forces Andrey Mordvichev,’ said Kadyrov.

‘[Mordvichev] reported on the significant successes of the fighters in critical areas and mentioned the approximate dates for the capture of Mariupol by the Russian army.’
